For more than fifteen years, Stefano Cruciata, Montevago Art Director, has been creatively involved with some of the most prestigious international brands, such as Valentino, Giorgio Armani, Tod's or Lancel, designing luxury leather goods and accessories collections. Stefano Cruciata was born in 1969 in the Mediterranean island of Sicily. He completed his artistic education at the University of Fine Arts and Architecture of Florence, where he graduated in 1992, as Industrial Designer. A further year at the Fashion Institute of Technology of New York introduced him to the territory of fashion design. His professional carrier luckily started at Salvatore Ferragamo in Florence, than continued in Rome, at the excellent design studio of Valentino Garavani, as fashion accessories designer, from hand bags to jewels, for the Haute-Couture Collections. Three years later, he was part of the Giorgio Armani designer's team, in Milan, in charge of the bags and shoes collections, and was also involved with the first interior design Armani Casa project. Since then, many other interiors design projects, from private houses to boutiques, have followed. After his last leader experience in Italy at Tod's, as female leather goods consultant, he moved to Paris in 2001 where he founded his own design studio, Montevago. Since then, many prestigious names, such as Valextra, Roberto Cavalli or Montblanc, have crowned the qualitative family of Montevago clients. The know-how cumulated in those years, beside some of the greatest masters of our time, to whom Stefano Cruciata will always be thankful, is the real treasure of Montevago. Nowadays, Montevago design agency manages the whole creative process, from the initial concept to the final product, for the design of bags, shoes, jewellery, watches, graphic and interior design.
